M-I think your cell phone is ringing.
W-Yeah, I know. It's my mother, i'm ignoring all of her calls today. I will turn it off so it doesnt bother you.
M-It's not bothering me. I just wanted to make sure you knew it was ringing.
W-Oh, thanks.
M-I'm Tom, and you are?
W-Oh, I'm Emma.
M-Well, Its nice to meet you Emma. Where are you headed?
W-Anywhere away from my mother.
M-Wow, you guys are not getting along i take it.
W-Nope.
M-....Well, uhh...This train is taking a long time. Do you want to go get a cup of coffee with me inside while we wait.
W-Sure. I'd like that.
M-Your phone is going off again.
W-I'm sorry, I'm turning it off right now.
M-Do you mind if I ask why you are ignoring all of your mothers calls?
W-It's stupid. I am embarrassed to say.
M-Don't worry. I wont tell anyone.
W-Well, my mother was setting me up on a blind date today. She's always trying to find me a man, and they always end up being terrible. She swears this time will be differn't. I know it wont though. Have you ever been on a blind date?
M-Actually no, but I was going to go on one this afternoon. I have a feeling that it is going to be cancelled though.
i like how you tied everything in at the end of this passage. it was a funny one to read! i enjoyed it quite deeply. i also liked how you got that much into it without making it way to long.
